The opening ceremony of the 1st FAI Asian-Oceanic Paragliding Accuracy Championships in Pasak Jodlasid Dam, Saraburi, Thailand took place in the morning of the 6th of April. The competition will run from April 3rd to April 12th and there are 51 pilots from 12 countries participating in the event. Some of the countries are new at the category 1 level.  This event has a winch as a take-off method which makes operation very fast in good conditions.

The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy governor of the region together with representatives of other authorities and organisations supporting the event. An advanced paramotor show was also part of the ceremony.
