Details
Mrs. Isabel Bandeira de Mello (Rilvas) is a most remarkable and uncontested figure in the history of general and sporting aviation in Portugal. During more than 50 years of activity, completed in August of 2004, she flew in different countries, participated in aeronautical competitions and piloted the most diverse types of aeroplanes in existence at the time. Having obtained several first places, she became a reference figure for general aviation and the cause of aeronautical sports. She is considered, for her devotion, initiative and efforts, to be an example to be followed by all who are interested in aviation.
