Day 5: 2024 FAI World Championships in Style and Accuracy and Canopy Formation

We have some results! Congratulations to the Chinese athletes who are turning the podiums red with their exceptional performances.

China have won the Female Team Accuracy: with some impressive scores all under 10cm, the team gained just 31 points which gave them a clear lead over Czechia in second place with 71 and Switzerland in third with 74.

In the Male Team Accuracy, the 8th and final round was completed on Wednesday 4 September, which tied Qatar, France and Germany. During the tie-break round, Qatar took first position with France and Germany tied in second place. The tie-break jump for this will take place on Thursday 5 September, with teams on the edge of their seats to find out how those podium photos will look!

Style final rounds were also competed, with Team China showing the world how it’s done! They took the first four places in Junior Male and the first three in Junior Female. Among the seniors, the Chinese will turn the podium red in both Male and Female Style.

Once again, it was an early start for the competitors, with the first load being in the air at 0715 and 537 jumps made, bringing the overall championships to an advanced stage.

A special thank you to the Judges, who have worked extremely hard, often in high temperatures and for very long periods, to ensure that all competitors are scored correctly. Thanks also to the Jury members who have been diligent in keeping note of new records - of which there are many - and to the truly brilliant Organisation Staff – Tereza, Ella, Anna, Tereza and Suzanna.

    • CF 2-way - 7 Rounds completed
    • CF 4-way Sequential – 6 Rounds completed
