The recipients of the 2022 FAI Awards will be announced during an online video broadcast on Tuesday 1 November 2022 at 19:00 UTC. The video will be premiered on the FAI Youtube channel and the FAI website.

The annual FAI Awards recognise outstanding contributions to aeronautics and astronautics from teams and individuals around the globe and in many different fields. There are awards for individual air sports disciplines as well as for those who have made a more general impact in the field.

Each award comes with its own story of human achievement, and with many, many individuals giving their time so generously, it is important that their stories – which become part of the history of air sports and aviation – are shared with others. Likewise, the teams that work together to develop, inspire and progress aeronautics and astronautics are recognised and celebrated in this annual event.

The FAI Awards Ceremony is part of the World Air Sports Federation’s General Conference, being held online from 1 to 3 November 2022.
