Three Paul Tissandier Diplomas awarded in FAI CIG
A hat trick of awards were made to members of Rotorcraft at the FAI 112th Annual Conference in Luxor last year. Three members of Rotorcraft were awarded The Paul Tissandier Diploma of the FAI; awarded to those who, whilst not eligible for one of the FAI’s major awards, have served the cause of aviation in general, and sporting and private aviation in particular by their work, initiative or devotion.
David Monks, Chairman of the UK NAC, attended the conference and was awarded with his Diploma by Frits Brink. Andrey Orekhov, The Russian Federation, and Wolf - Dietrich "WD" Tesar, Austria were also awarded Diplomas. Congratulations!
The photograph shows WD being awarded his Diploma by the Austrian Aero Club last week to recognise 20 years of hard work and introducing helicopter sport to Austria.
