Main decisions taken at the 2015 CIAM Annual Meeting

The 2015 Annual Meeting of the FAI Aeromodelling Commission (CIAM) was held on 24 and 25 April 2015 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The CIAM Bureau Members met a day earlier at the same location.

Friday evening’s Open Forum discussion

The topic of the Open Forum was the drones, and how to include them in the Aeromodelling community. It started with a presentation of the report from the specially established Working Group, and was followed by a discussion to see how this activity will be integrated within the the FAI Aeromodelling Commission. The CIAM Plenary also adopted a proposal from the President to establish an organising committee to introduce a sporting event in 2016.

CIAM Scholarship: Bernhard FLIXEDER (AUT). The Aeromodelling Scholarship diploma, “Spirit of Flight”, was awarded to the winner.

Sporting Code changes

Amendments will be included in the 2016 Version of Sporting Code Section 4.

Next Meetings   

The 2016 CIAM Annual Meeting will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 22 to 23 April 2016.

The Bureau Members will meet in December in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at a date to be determined, and on 21 April 2016 in Lausanne.
