On Saturday June 4, in Barcelona, the FAI participated to a joint meeting with the International Motor Sport Federations FIM (Motorcycling), FIA (Automobile) and UIM (Powerboating). During this meeting hosted by FIM, the International Federations formed a Council with a combined initiative to promote sustainable sport. The purpose is to share knowledge and to develop joint environmental and alternative energy projects.

“We at the FAI are particularly sensitive to sustainability and as such have been working for the promotion of environmental awareness in air sports for many years”, said Stéphane Desprez, FAI Secretary General. “This new Council is therefore a great opportunity for us to go even further by sharing experiences and being part of innovative and exciting environmental projects. Together we can make great advances!”
