Countdown to Laval!
The clock is ticking - with barely a week to go before competitors and officials descend on Laval in Montreal for the start of the 2nd FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships (18th - 23rd October 2017). With both Formation Skydiving and Artistic Events set to enthrall the audience, it's bound to be a fast-paced exciting Championships!
Flushed with her Gold Medal success at last year's World Cup, Singapore's Kyra Poh will obviously be aiming high in her first ever Freestyle Junior World Championship. The current Freestyle Junior World Champion, Poland's Maja Kuczyska relinquishes her junior status this year as she steps up to the Freestyle Open.
For the moment it doesn't look as if the current Open Freestyle World Champion, Finland's Inka Tiitto, will be defending her title. Should that remain the case, there are some strong contenders aiming for the title, not least Russia's Leonid Volkov.
The Formation Skydiving followers won't be disappointed either as once again all eyes will be on Belgium's 4-Way Open ambassadors, Hayabusa, taking on the likes of Russia's Black Cat who are keen to snatch the title – amongst others.
