Tonight at 18.00 the Technical Meeting for Heads of Delegation /Team Coaches / Managers will take place in the Meeting tent on the Palm DZ. At the end of this meeting the draws will be made for Formation Skydiving and Canopy Formation and will be published here afterwards.
The schedule for tomorrow releases the Formation Skydiving 8-Way and VFS teams along with Canopy Formation 4-way Sequential and Rotations and Artistic Events Freestyle for the day - a chance to explore Dubai, or at least have a late morning. For everyone else it is stand-by from 8.30.

The winds are still within limits and jumping continues with Accuracy Landing from the helicopters and Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formations and Artistic Events from the fixed wing aircraft.
The Accuracy Landing and Canopy Piloting DZ is here on the Dubai Palm giving the TV crew plenty of opportunity to practice filming jumpers.
To get from the Crescent DZ situated on the top arm of the palm it is necessary to ride in one of Skydive Dubai launches. The DZ is being controlled by Helmut Bastuck and Sandrine from Skydive Dubai (and her dog - Romeo)

So the last of the competitors for all but some for Canopy Piloting arrive today, the last day for practice jumps. The fixed wing aircraft are ready (with additional ones in reserve), as are the two helicopters. When the competitors arrive, once they have their rigs checked by the riggers they can manifest for jumping. Meanwhile their Head of Delegation/Team Coach deals with final registration for the competition.
On the Drop Zone there are three huge screens. This year these will be organised with one dedicated to OmniSkoreHD which will show the judging of Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formation and Artistic Events with a running results sequence for those disciplines. One of the screens is dedicated to Dubai Sports TV which will be broadcasting all day from here and will also be live streaming to the organiser's web site. The third screen will be used by Skydive Dubai to show their daily videos and a mixture of on site images, etc.
The riggers are busy this morning with a queue of competitors completing the necessary paperwork in order to have their gear checked and tagged.

Yesterday was the birthday of Helmut Schlech, the Deputy Chair of the Technical Committee and Dr. 'Exi' Rainer Hoenle, Chief Judge - Happy Belated Birthday Wishes.
