CIVL Plenary 2023 has awarded the 3rd FAI World Hang gliding Sport Class Championship to be held in Laveno-Mombello, Italy. The proposed dates of the championship are 1-14 June, 2025. The event will be organized by Aeroclub Lega piloti in cooperation with Delta club Laveno. Both organizers are very experienced. Apart from numerous category 2 events Lega piloti has managed 3 FAI 1 events in the past 4 years. While Delta club Laveno for 34 years in a row hosts the world-oldest Hang gliding meet - Valerio Albrizio Trophy. The test event is planned for June 1-8, 2024.
